Good Friday morning to you friends!!
So yesterday was a freak no-power-at-school-so-no-school day for me and I got to stay home all day ALL BY MYSELF!
I was seriously singing this:
from the moment I received the no-school-tomorrow call Wednesday evening until I went to pick up the boys after school yesterday.
Disclaimer: If you listen to this song Sponge Bob will get stuck in your head. Just warning ya! 😉
So, this video is one of my longer ones (almost 10 minutes!) but I think it’s worth your time. 😉 If you can’t stick it out for the whole 10 minutes I think you can still get some goodness from the first 5.
Anyone see what I did there?
But, seriously if you don’t have this app what are you doing with your life? You need to download the app onto your phone RIGHT NOW!
Correct that – finish this post first and THEN go download it on your phone.
And now would be a great time to start. We have just finished reading through the book of Exodus together and Monday we will be starting Leviticus and Hebrews. (Seriously, would you ever get through the book of Leviticus on your own? Let’s do it together! 😉 You can thank me later.)
Anyway, if that’s enough of an intro for you, just watch this ….
And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
1 Timothy 2:1-6
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
And the post about the little girl I shared in the video – Imagine what God will do for this little girl if we all lift up prayers on her behalf. And thank you to my friend Tiffany for sharing her heart for this little girl.
“As I was on my way home today from the airport we had to stop and get gas. I was just sitting there when I just looked over at the car right next to me at the pump there was a woman and a man in a car with a little girl ( that looked to be 3 years old) in the back seat. I saw another man walk up to the car to the passengers side where the man was. Then he turned and saw that I was looking at them. So he went around the other side of the car and got in the back seat with the child.
And then the guy up front gave him a small bag. And then the guy in the back seat just got out and walked to his car which was parked at another pump. I knew that I had just witnessed a drug deal.
Immediately after seeing this I got upset. Tears began to fill my eyes. And I started to pray. My heart was broken. It was broken to see this child be in the middle of that lifestyle. Just because of someone else’s choices they make this child has no choice. But I believe that God will take care of that little girl in the middle of it all.
The only reason I’m sharing this with you all is because I believe in the power of prayer. And I ask you to pray for this little girl that I know God put in my path. And along with other children going through this. And pray also for the parents and anyone that struggles with drugs or any addictions they are going through.
God knows what and who to put in your path. Pay attention and always seek after Him. He is so good ♡”
And the other facebook post I referenced – God used both these posts to reinforce what He had laid on my heart.
Don’t you love how tech savvy our God is? 😉
From Jenn Buell:
“There’s something amazingly holy and invigorating about beginning the day praying for a friend in need. Lifting up the hands of those who are too tired or worn to lift their own. Who can you stand in the gap for today? Who in your life needs you to be their intercessor, coming boldly before the throne of God with confidence and asking for their needs? That’s my encouragement for you this morning. Figure out who God has placed on your heart to pray for and spend time praying on their behalf today.”
Thank you Jenn for allowing me to use your words here. You can find out more about Jenn by checking our her website and/or facebook page.
And thank you to you for spending some time with me here today and I hope you have “the best day eh-ver”!
