Hello my friends!
So this post won’t be pretty or poetic or eloquent but I want to share a few things with you.
Melissa and I tried a Friday Favorites series and failed miserably (actually, she did a favorites post – I failed miserably).
But that’s okay – sometimes you try something and it doesn’t work. But you don’t quit! Ya just climb back up on that horse and try again! (If I had a cute horse emoji I would insert it here.) 😉
So think of this post as kinda like a favorites post from me to you.
There are several great Bible studies beginning soon that you should definitely check out and participate in!! I have found that without a Bible reading plan it is too easy to let our daily time in the Word slide and then, before we know it, days and days have passed and our Bible sits covered in a week’s worth of dust.
So pick one of these and jump in! Just don’t be like me and attempt to do all of them at once because that’s crazy town!
(Full Disclosure: I am doing the Uninvited OBS and the Loved Bible Project “This is the Gospel” study and reading Wait and See 😉 And I do read #first5 first thing every morning. But don’t be like me! Just choose one and stick with it!)
So, in no particular order, here are all the things you need to know about:
The Proverbs 31 OBS (online Bible study) of Lysa TerKeurst’s newest book Uninvited
This OBS just began this past Tuesday, September 6 and runs through October 14 so it is just getting started. It’s not too late to join! You can access the first 3 chapters online for free. I am most exited about the fact that during the study Proverbs 31 will be sharing Lysa’s teaching videos that she filmed in the Holy Land. I have watched the first video twice already and it is amazing!! Even if you can’t participate fully in the study right now you should definitely set aside 30 minutes each week to watch these videos. They are phenomenal and will only be available for the duration of the study so don’t miss it!
You can learn more and/or sign up for the study here: http://proverbs31.org/online-bible-studies/

Up next, my new favorite thing, The Loved Bible Project ….
TLBP will be starting a 14 day study from the She Reads Truth app or website (the study can be accessed either way) “This is the Gospel.” This study starts Sunday, September 11. This will be a great opportunity to get in the Word for yourself and, at the same time, to love on a Bible for someone else. You can find out more at the link below ….
If you check out our archives page you’ll see that I have shared quite a bit about The Loved Bible Project because i just love it so much 😉

Next up, IF:Equip will begin a 10 day study of Angie Smith’s Seamless on Monday, September 12. I completed this study with a group of friends last summer and we all learned so much as Angie shows us how to see the Bible as one complete story all pointing to Jesus.
You can watch a video with Angie Smith and learn more here:

Finally, I am on the launch team for this fantastic new book by Proverbs 31 speaker and #first5 writer Wendy Pope. Be watching the blog for an awesome giveaway coming soon. 😉
You can find out more and watch the book trailer at the Wait and See book website below:

And because the last thing is never really the last thing …
If you’ve been a faithful blog reader for awhile you may remember how, at the beginning of the year, I committed my dear friend Melissa and I to consistently post twice each week in 2016 …
Well, that hasn’t always happened but sometimes we have to offer ourselves a little bit of grace.
Each of us is on our own personal journey with Christ. I want to live His will for my life, and follow His plan for my days rather than my own. I want to cease striving in my own strength and learn to rest and just be and be held in Him.
So that may mean I miss a few posting days and I’m okay with that. This online thing is a delicate balance and one I don’t always get right. I want to be obedient. I want to be productive. I want to be responsible. I don’t want to be lazy with my time. But I also don’t want to miss what He has placed right in front of me. He has given each of us a ministry right where we are. For me that is my husband, my boys, my family and my students. Some days I need to pay more attention, be more present, and be more intentional about just being rather than doing.
So I’m learning. Some I will share and some is just for me. That’s a delicate balance too – what to share, what not to share, but that’s another story for another time 😉
I shared this video on facebook yesterday …
Now go find a Bible study and get signed up!
With love,
Tara
